The Homevisitwills concept began its journey back in London in 1995 under the brand name of Willcraft.
Owner and founder Colin Chapman saw an opportunity in the market for a Will writing service which went beyond what other providers were giving to clients.
Traditionally making a Will was a complicated and costly process of several visits to a lawyer’s office which often meant taking time off from work.
Coming from a financial services background Colin could see that a home visit service like the one he had been providing for insurance could be adapted for Will making and would provide clients with the ease and flexibility to get this done efficiently and cost effectively.
Having built a successful business across the UK which engaged 84 home visit consultants at one-point Colin then turned to Australia to launch the concept in Perth in 2009.
Whilst processes and procedures were very similar in Australia to those in the UK the system had to be adapted to incorporate the services of lawyers for the settling and signing of the documents. This being an Australian legal requirement.
After 8 years in Perth honing this system to ensure that clients enjoyed the same easy processes and friendly experience as those in the UK had, it was decided that the Homevisitwills concept should now be made available to the rest of Australia via a franchising method.
With the various marketing methods which were initially used to great success in the UK and have proved to be equally as successful in Western Australia, a Homevisitwills franchise offers franchisees an opportunity to do meaningful work with clients needing to put their Wills and other estate planning documents in place.
