Franchising Expo comes to Perth

The Perth Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo opens for one day only on Sunday 6 May, bringing together a range of franchises available for West Australians keen to be their own boss.

Showcasing more than 50 franchise brands with investment levels from under $10,000 to more than $500,000, the Franchising Expo will be held at Crown Perth.

“If you are thinking of getting into your own small business, there has never been a better time to attend the Franchising Expo,” says Exhibition Director Tim Collett.

“While it is disheartening to see reports of a small number of failed systems and individual stores, this does not change the fact that franchising is a popular and proven business model, which has helped thousands to get into their own business, provided the community with great service and employed hundreds of thousands of Australians,” he adds.

Exhibitors at the Expo include well-known names including Jim’s Group, Poolwerx, Aussie, Baker’s Delight, Signarama and Fully Promoted, plus emerging brands such as KX Pilates, Soul Origin, Oxworks, GroutPro, Laser Clinics Australia, Fox Mowing & Gardening and Acai Brothers. Global companies seeking WA franchisees include Jon Smith Subs, Minuteman Press International, Experimac, TaxAssist and Tutor Doctor, while local franchises include Jester’s, Croissant Express, Krazy Keys, Absolute Cosmetic Medicine and Go Private real estate.

There are also free seminars running all day throughout the show, including a keynote by Jim Penman, the man behind Jim’s Group. Other speakers include the new CEO of the Franchise Council of Australia Mary Aldred, Clayton Treloar from Mailboxes Etc., Mike Stringer from MPower Franchising and Rajiv Rajan from Finn Franchise Brokers. These informative seminars are sponsored by Aussie and there is no need to book.

Collett says anyone going into business for themselves needs to find out the facts. “The Franchising Expo brings everyone together under one roof. You can compare the options, eyeball the people behind the brands and ask the hard questions. It is all about doing your research and finding the right match for you.”
